Terror Financing Suit Against Arab Bank To Head To Trial

A New York federal judge on Wednesday pared some claims against Arab Bank PLC by victims of terrorist attacks accusing the bank of financing known terrorists, but allowed the remaining claims under the Anti-Terrorism Act to proceed to trial.

U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon only partly granted Arab Bank’s summary judgment bid, striking down the plaintiffs’ aiding and abetting claims under the ATA, but allowing other claims under the act to survive, according to a statement by Arab Bank on Wednesday.
